Updated Mitsubishi Triton Range Coming to Mitsubishi Bronkhorstspruit

June 2, 2026

Mitsubishi Bronkhorstspruit, part of the Digi Cars Group, is looking forward to welcoming the updated 2026 Mitsubishi Triton range into our showroom in the coming months, including the exciting new Triton Bi-Turbo derivative and a freshly restyled Triton GLS.

These updates build on Mitsubishi’s long-standing heritage of durability, reliability and off-road capability, while raising the bar on performance, technology and styling. For our customers in Bronkhorstspruit and the wider Digi Cars Group network, that means more choice and more capability in a segment where the Triton has always punched above its weight.

Introducing the Triton Bi-Turbo

The new flagship of the range, the Triton Bi-Turbo, brings together enhanced power, sportier styling and Mitsubishi’s full safety suite in a single, purposeful package.

A sporty, imposing exterior

The Bi-Turbo combines sporty elements with Mitsubishi’s signature robust design language to create a confidently imposing look. The frontal design incorporates Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield, with a powerful, three-dimensional front grille, sculpted fenders and a strong lower protector. The daytime running lights feature three L-shaped LED elements that resemble the sharp gaze of a hawk, paired with three-dimensional three-light headlights below for an unmistakable road presence.

That presence continues down the flanks with large, solid surfaces, before being finished off at the rear with T-shaped tail lights that emphasise the bakkie’s broad, sturdy stance.

Additional standard features on the Bi-Turbo include:

  • Roof rails
  • Styling bar
  • Assisted rear tailgate
  • Heated door mirrors

A substantial performance increase

The Triton Bi-Turbo has been treated to a significant power upgrade thanks to fine-tuning of the 2.4-litre 4N16 DI-DC engine and its variable geometry turbo. The result is impressive performance gains:

  • 150 kW at 3 500 rpm
  • 470 Nm between 1 500 and 2 750 rpm

The more powerful engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and the Bi-Turbo will be available exclusively as a 4×4 derivative, built to handle whatever South African terrain throws at it.

An enhanced safety offering

The fitment of the Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing suite elevates safety in the Bi-Turbo to a completely new level, with a comprehensive list of driver assistance technologies, including:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with steering switch
  • Automatic High Beam (AHB)
  • Forward Collision Mitigation system (FCM) with pedestrian detection
  • Lane Change Assist (LCA)
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
  • Blind Spot Warning (BSW)
  • Front and rear parking sensors
  • Multi Around Monitor

The Triton GLS Goes Dark

The Triton GLS has also been treated to a series of exterior enhancements that modernise and toughen its look. The update centres on the removal of all chrome elements in favour of blacked-out accents, and the result is dramatic.

The fog lamp bezels, door handles, side step, rear gate handle and garnish are now finished in material black. The front bumper garnish, rear bumper, door mirrors and 18-inch alloy wheels all feature a metallic black look. The inner housing of the rear combination lamp has been blacked out too, tying the whole package together.

Combined, these updates significantly accentuate the Triton’s beast mode styling, perfect for customers who want their bakkie to make a statement.

An Evolving Product for an Evolving Market

The 2026 Triton range, led by the new Bi-Turbo and modernised GLS, represents the next step in Mitsubishi’s commitment to delivering vehicles engineered for both business and lifestyle use, catering to customers who demand versatility, capability and everyday comfort.

Full specifications and additional details will be shared in the coming weeks.
